  1. The tinkers who visit this part of the country regularly are commonly known as "The Sohoes". Their real names are Donoghues and the old man's name was Connie Donoghue or "Connie Soho". He died about three or four years ago at the fine old age of 90. When he got bad he was taken to the hospital in Fermoy where he died of old age. When his wife Marie heard of his death she clapped her hands and cried out "I knew the house would kill him and if they left him
