    Basket Making - Tom Guina - years was very skillful in basket-making, hamper making and making of
    He worked for hire.
    Con Mullane Dirreen, Athea used make baskets and hampers for potatoes. He is alive yet, but does not continue the trade. he charged for his work.
    Wm. Roche - Gort-na-Gcros - born (?) ago, made baskets, sciaths, hampers for his own family and sometimes made ones for neighbours, but not for payment.
    Candle making - People in the parish made candles. There is a candle-mould (?) in the house of Dan O'Connor, Lower Athea, but the owners do not know the different parts or their names.
