  1. Lore of Certain Days
It is said that Friday is an unlucky day to go to see the sick.
It is also said that if a person remains in bed on Friday that they will never get up again.
The farmer usually starts his ploughing on Friday as it is thought unlucky to start it on any other days.
It is very unlucky to remove from one house to another during Lent.
If a person gets money on a Monday it is said that he will be getting money all that week.
People say that the potatoes should be planted before St. Patricks Day and the oats before April.
Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday are said to be the best days in the week to apply any remedy to a person but if the person cannot wait these days it is given them on any other day.
