    In the townland which I live in, there are several of these stones or monuments. The stones were brought to these places by the giants when they were building castles. They took big stones from some far district to build these castles.
    When they were told that they had enough of stones to finish the building of the castle they put down the stones. The stones are still to be seen in these fields with the print of a hand on them. There are six of them in one field. The owner of this field is Mrs. John Twomey. It is in the townland of Knockarrorheen
