  1. Long ago many customs prevailed with regard to St. Brigid's day. Most of these customs have died out and it is a pity. Some of them still exist.
    In this locality a number of boys disguise themselves and go from house to house playing some musical instruments. They get money in almost every house. They hold a dance with the proceeds.
