  1. Long ago there lived a local landlord in our townland whose name was Mr. Dunscombe. The house in which he lived is known as the Mansion House. He was looked upon as a very good landlord. There have not been any evictions carried out in the district. The land was not divided into farms until Mr. Dunscombe came and then he divided all the land between the poor people.
    We have a very nice farm at home. It consists of six cows, two horses, four dozen of hens, three calves, and
