Ar an leathanach seo

  1. The most harmful weeds on our farm are nettles, thistles, bonnocean bog - lillies, cipeogs or docks. There other weeds on the farm also: - rib - leaf, caisear bhán and wild - sage The nettles are harmful because they spread rapidly and impoverish the soil. They grow in bad ground. The bonnocean grows near the ditch. It is harmful because sometimes when the cattle would eat it, it would poison them. Small red berries grow on it. The bog - lilies grow near the bog. The cipeógs are harmful because when they grow up with the crops they choke them and the seeds fall off of them and they grow up again. Rib - leaf is good to cure a cut. Wild sage is to cure stomach trouble. Caisearbhán is chopped up and given to hens and pigs and ducks.
