  1. I lay dwn on my bed to sleet
To God, I give my soul to keep
If I die before I wake
To God I give my soul to take.
    I saw Holy Mary coming
With seven man books in her hand
Seven bells ringing seven Priests singing
Close the gates of hell, and open the gates of heaven.
Tis time for my poor soul to go to heaven.
There are four corners on my bed
There are four Angels around my head
    Matthew, Martk Luke and John
God bless the bed that I lie on
