  1. The most remarkable man I ever heard of here is, Geoffrey Keating, an uncle of Con Keating Who was drowned in the river Laune, whilst going on a message to Cahersiveen before the rising in 1916.
    Geoffrey Keating when A boy of about twenty years old was full of patriotism and courage he went to Italy to fight against Garibaldi a Freemason who want to drive the Pope and all the Christian is out of Italy he fought against Garibaldi to defend the faith after about two years in Italy he emigrated to Canada where he spent the rest of his life whilst he was able to work he was working for nuns he returned home to Renard where are you spend the rest of his life he died about fourteen years ago at the age of seventy.
