coming home through Ballyouscail. He saw a man skinning a jennet which was about twenty years old. He then went to the man and got a few slices of meat and went home and went to bed. After a while his sister went to his pocket and found the meat. She then put it down to fry but it was leaping off the pan and the corners were turning up. When morning came they were talking about the toughness of the meat but Byrne said "Glory be to God that was a piece of Kelly's jennet that I got for the dog."
