  1. One day about eight years ago when my uncle Tim was digging potatoes he found a small card board box.
He opened it and found a small pair of green and white shoes.
They were of china and both of them were joined together.
He was greatly surprised and brought them home immediately.
He showed them to all the neighbours.
They were not surprised for often valuable ornaments are found in the earth and bogs.
The shoes have been kept in my grandmother's ever since.
My Uncle also got a horse-shoe in the same field a few years later when he was ploughing.
There were words written on it and when it was cleaned the words "Good Luck" were to bee seen plainly.
Transcribed by a member of our volunteer transcription project.
