    Carrimacarrick bog which is owned by Mr Phibbs and the Major owns some of it. The Major charges half a crown per twenty four carts for the turf. Many farms were divided under his guidance. Farms were sub-divided in a few cases, when two sons of a family were getting married the farm they were living on was divided between them.
