    The cows are very well cared in winter, they are tied with a chair to a stake, and are given hay and mashes of crushed oats.

    The cows are very well cared in winter, they are tied with a chain to a stake, and are given hay and mashes of crushed oats. The horse is given hay and oats and they are also given water. The cattle are put in houses in the winter and they get hay. The sheep are always out but in winter they are given oats. Pigs are given potatoe[?] meal, and milk three times a day. The poultry are fed well during winter and are closed up at for fear of the fox. The cat is fed on milk and whatever she kills herself. The dog is well cared because he watches the farm house at night.
