  1. There is only one day which is looked upon to be unlucky in this district and that is May Day.
    Monday and Thursday are the two days of the week that certain ailments can be cured.
    The days which some people like to begin work or change from one house to another are Tuesday and Friday.
    The cross day is known in our district.
    It occurs on the second day of February.
    The night before St. Brigid's day all the young people used to gather to one house and get straw, then they would shape the straw into crosses and place them in the roof and they would be left until
