  1. 1. There was once a man who went out shooting one night. It was wild geese he was looking for, but a hare ran out before him.
    2. He fired at him and shot him. When he was on his way home he could not find the gate he came in. He went around the field six times and could not see the gate.
    3. At last he grew tired of carrying the hare so he left him down and he saw the gate. He took up the hare again and walked towards the gate but could not find it.
    4. He left down the hare again and got out the gate. He looked back when he was outside but could not see the hare. This happened my grandfather in Abbeyville.
