  1. 1. There was a man one time in Pewtown. A spirit used to be around the yard who was frightening the children. He went out this night and ordered the spirit away.
    2. This night he was out and he had a horse nail in his pocket. He saw the spirit and he said that is what saved him.
    3. The next night he had cross money, and that is what saved him. The third night the spirit was in a fort and has a razor. The man took courage and questioned him. He asked him could he do anything for him. He said "the son wasn't born yet that could relieved me but you can let me back there again
    4. The man told the spirit not to be making any noise, and he could go back. The man lived to be an old man before he died.
    5. The day of his funeral they left two chairs on the ground. They brought out the corpse and lifted it over it. When they did
