    lakes in the District only Lough Swilly. There is no townland called the Gort, it is the name the Hamilton family gave their house after they built it. The river was then called the Gort river There is a wood in Glengollan called Glengollan planting. It begins at the bottom of the main road below our school and goes right up until it comes to Ballinahone, and right along past the Rectory
    There is a poem about Lough Swilly and also Fahan.
    Most of the houses are two stories in height. There is a field not far from School.
    It is called Kings field because the man of the name owned it. Not far from our School there is a muddy place called the Ponds. The ponds were made when the railways were about the year 1840.
