He usually roamed the wooded hills alone, picking off stray soldiers. He is said to have killed hundreds with "Roaring Bess". It is told that he & another were cooped up behind a fence over Anamoe. They had two guns. Thomas fired one, while his comrade loaded the other. He had the Redcoats at a disadvantage, with no cover anywhere. He is said to have killed upwards of hundreds. His name was a terror to the Redcoats.

   He shot two traitors - the two Freemans near a place called the "Pinery" in Druimin. They were trying to betray the priest, who
