situated between two boreens and at the back of a churchyard in the town of Balla. People from all parts of Irland come to visit it on the 15th August and they perform stations around it. When they are leaving it they leave relics as, pins, medals and other things and they also take some of the water with them. Sick people are also brought to this well and some are cured.
