    it lasted. It knocked many buildings. No person in my district was killed. Before that storm occured there was a black pig seen flying in the air.

  2. The big wind occured on the twelfth night 1839. Potatoes and many grain crops were destroyed. That year resembled the famine years of 1846 - 47 but the crops were not so much damaged.
