  1. Marriages frequently take place between Christmas and Easter. Some people would not get married on Monday or Wednesday or Friday because they think these days are unlucky for marriage.
    There is an old saying about the days of the week such as:-
    Monday for health.
    Tuesday for wealth.
    Wednesday the best day of all.
    Thursday for loses.
    Friday for crosses.
    And Saturday no day at all.
    In olden times when a wedding would be in a house straw boys would dress up and come to the house where the wedding was held.
