  1. People made potato cakes and Boxty bread and oaten-meal bread in the olden times. When they were making a potato cake they peeled the skin off boiled potatoes and they mixed salt and flour and the potatoes together and they baked it on a griddle.
    When they were making Boxty they scraped raw potatoes and they mixed salt and flour with the potatoes and they baked it on a griddle.
    Some people made cakes with oat meal and whole flour.
