- There is very large orchard at Castlecrine owned by the Miss Butlers. One night about twenty years ago three men set out to rob the orchard of its apples. When they arrived at the orchard they found out that there were no apples in it, so the decided to return home. When they had reached the top of the wall they had heard the noise of a car coming towards them, When it was near they noticed that it was headless horses that were drawing the coach and that it was a headless man that was driving the horses, and they heard chains rattling inside in the carriage.
The men still waiting on the wall, but when the carriage came near, the driver drove the horses so near the wall that he crushed one of the men's legs against the wall. Next day the man took a weakness and died.
