  1. Local Cures
    Thorn:- If you have a thorn in your hand put bread (broken Loaf) steeped in hot water on a piece of cloth and then put the bread to the thorn. Do that for a few days.
    Toothache:- If you have the toothache put a wee piece of cotton wool with a drop of iodine on it and then put the cotton wool in the tooth (2) another thing is take a drink of cold water. It has a good effect on some people.
    Peeling onions:- When peeling onions just put a cork in between your teeth and it will keep you from crying.
    Falling Hair:- If your hair is falling out, singe it all around the bottom.
    Hives:- Rub butter on your hives or milk, either is good.
    Cut:- If you have a sore cut get a dog and let it lick the cut with its tongue.
    Burn:- If you got a burn go and get the soap and rub it on the burn. The soap is not much good unless you rub it on the burn when you get it.
    Stye on Eye:- If you have a stye on your eye get a pure gold ring and rub it across it.
    Sting of Bee:- If you get a sting of a bee or a wasp put a blue bag on it when you get it.
