An inspector visited a Garragh country school near Cootehill in June 1938.

An inspector visited a Garragh counry school near Cootehill in June 1938. He said to the master that he would put some questions to the class standing round the black board. He asked the boy at the top of the class a question which he answered. He then asked the second boy a question and he missed it. Several of the boys missed it, and he was going on pointing to each without getting an answer, and coming near the last pupil. Suddenly the boy at the end of the class, who was always last put up his hand and started to wave the inspector away saying, "That's enough now you needn't ask me".
