  1. A long string has a ring put on it and the two ends tied. Players stand in a ring holding the cord in both hands. They work both hands sideways moving the ring from player to player. One person standing in the middle of the ring turns to find where the ring is. If a person is caught with the ring he or she stands in the middle. While the ring is being passed this rime is sung:-
Paddy from Cork has never been
Never a railway train has seen
Never has seen the great machines
    That travels along the railway
