- Lucky and Unlucky Days.In olden times the people were very superstitious. They did things on certain days because they were supposed to be lucky days.Saturday is supposed to be an unlucky day for changing residence. There is an old proverb which says: "Saturday's flit is a short sit".Many people would not change cattle from one place to another on a Saturday.Some farmers like to start setting potatoes on the week of the seventeenth of March.
