Ar an leathanach seo

  1. Near the shore, not far from Teampull na Marbh, are the vaults of a castle, which was erected by the lay Coibe of Inis Chathaigh towards the end of the sixteenth century.
    None of the islanders know for what purpose this castle was built. They all believe, however, that there is an underground passage leading from it to St. Mary's Church. One old man, a Patrick Scanlan, says that the monks used imprison in this castle every soldier sent to the island by Queen Elizabeth.
    The castle is now looked upon as the property of Michael Scanlan, and he displays
