On the Island of Galoon there is also a graveyard surrounding the monastery. The families from the neighbourhood used it as a burial-place. When a coffin was to be buried there a flag-stone came from the coast to the mainland. The coffin was placed on the stone, which moved back to the shore of the island without human intervention. This continued until some individual desecrated the stone, when it ceased to bring its customary load, and remained stationary on the shores of the island.
