About 100 years ago there lived a boy near the Market square.

About 100 years ago there lived a boy near the Market square. One Summer evening he was taken away by fairies. In a few months time he came back. The mother said "Where have you been my son", "I was under the bridge about a mile from Kingscourt which is called the big bridge". "And how did you get back". "I refused to eat and the fairies let me out." "What did you live on my son", "The crumbs that you let fall from your hands", he said no more. One night he was sitting at the fire side by himself. A little man in a red jacket sat at the other side of the fire. He said to the boy "Say no more about the fairies or we will take you again."
