- There is a man named Pat McEnroe Lurganboy Virginia Co. Cavan who used to make churns and barrels and sold them at fairs and markets. He was so good at making them that he got the name of the Cooper and it has stuck to him and his family ever since. He does not make them now because he is too old.
The same people used to spin and weave and when friends went to see them they got a roll of home spun wool. They sold the wool and got good prices for it, This is a very uncommon work nowadays.
