Ar an leathanach seo

  1. There are six houses in the town-land of Seskin. The river Slaney runs through it; The word Seskin means a mucky, marshy, place. Thereare not very many people living in it.
    There is only one old man in it. He lives in a place called the Cuts. He does not speak Irish although he is over 80 years.
    There are the remains of many old houses, that were destroyed when the English took over their lands some fifty years ago. The ruins of an old castle which was erected in 1798 is pretty near my house.
    There are no lakes or woods in it. It is thinly populated. There are about thirty people living in Seskin.
