   She was famed thro' the land she was known far away.
   As Amelia, the songster, the Bright Star of Ray.

   Her skin was as white as the snowflakes that fall.
   On the glens and the vales of her own Donegal.
   her eyes were as clear as the bright star above,
   Her voice was as sweet as the music
