    There's a spot in the north where the bright waters flow,
    Where the hills are so high, and the walls are so low.
    There's a home in the vale just a bit from the town
    And 'tis known far and near as a place of renown.
    T'was the home of the songster so sweet and refined.
    With a heart, good as gold and a generous mind.
    She was famed thro' the land she was known far away.
    As Amelia, the songster, the Bright Star of Ray.
    Her skin was as white as the snowflakes that fall.
    On the glens and the vales of her own Donegal.
    her eyes were as clear as the bright star above,
    Her voice was as sweet as the music
