  1. Some people say Slí Fada is one of the five great roads leading to Tara, but my father said it is one of the Dublin roads. It starts right at our iron gate leading in off the high road and on along by the verge of the hills in front of our house till it runs up to the pailing and out into Bracken's crossing on by the graveyard out into Mulvehan's till it reaches Ballyduff and from Ballyduff on through the top of the hill of Tunnycross into Croghan.
