  1. On a lime kiln
    There is a lime kiln in one of our fields on the top of a hill. It is like a well only it is a lot bigger and is all made of stone. It is very dangerous. If it was opened cattle or sheep might fall into it. It is usual for a lime kiln to be built on the side of a hill so as one side of it can be built into the hill and that the ground on that side of it will be on a level with the top of the kiln and the ground on the other side will be on a level with the bottom
