   The weekly fuss on your behalf;
   And sweet to hear what doctors think
   And see yourself in printers ink.

   ‘It’s sweet to know a local bard
   Has found a theme, which is not hard
   And that your fortunes he’ll rehearse
   In honest if not deathless verse

   But sweeter far than all the rest
   To find that your poor wheezing chest
   Is mending with each whole some breath
   And that you are evading death

   And oh how sweet to think that soon
   You will possess the greatest boon
   That richest of all human wealth
   But oft neglected jewel-health!
