the feast they had planned to poison the man, kill the Butler and burn the Chapel in Boolavogue.
Mrs Donovan was very fond of the Butler and she told him to fly but he waited till after the feast. He waited on table and handed the poison to Captain Donovan but the Captan did not touch the food because he recognised it. The Butler ran to Boolavogue and told Father Murphy, and they gathered the men who had not given up their arms to Hogshead but they did not defeat Captain Donovan, "As tradition says Father Murphy and the Chapel would have been burnt only for the Butler."
