  1. At the bottom of the historical village of Ferns stands Mogue's Well.
    One day while some men were working at the Abbey they became thirsty and as no water was available St Mogue struck the ground and immediately this well sprung up and ever since it is called Mogue's Well.
    In this well three golden fishes are seen. At night a child of six or seven years may be seen walking up and down by this Well. Many people have been cured of many ailments at this well.
