    In this town on the way to the church are some houses with the side walls built in the form of arches. Those houses were built by the Edgeworths in the year 1700 and were used for horse stables when Biacone used to run his coaches from Dublin to Sligo.
    About one hundred years ago the Edgeworths used to run a school here which the Catholics and Protestants attended and the Priest used to teach the Catholics and the Parson used to teach the Protestants.
