  1. People usually get married on Wednesday because it is the best day of all.
    Matches are usually made in this district and sometimes when the girls father can afford to he gives the girl a dowry and it is usually money that is given.
    The money is called a fortune.
    Long ago the marriages used to take place in the houses but now the people are always married in the Church.
    When the marriage ceremony is over the parties are met outside by their relatives who throw rice on them this is supposed to bring good luck.
    After this the guest go to the house of the bride where the wedding breakfast is held. During the day there is music and feasting and in the evening the wedding guest go to the house of the bride-groom where the dinner is taken.
    The night of the wedding the "straw boys" known as the "band beggar's" go to the wedding place. Those band beggars dress themselves up with straw tied around their heads and legs and sometimes they
