During Whit week many of the old people will not let any horses be worked or let any of the family go near water as they sat it is a very unlucky time of the year. These days are called the "Cross Days". It is a custom not to move from one house to another except on a Friday as it is said "Friday's flitting brings a long sitting". They say it is unlucky to sow any kind of plants during the three Reevoge Days.
