the big well of Ballintubber. A short distance from this well is a place called Glana-halta. There is a Mass rock here where in the Penial times Mass was celebrated. The Mass rock stands in a valley surrounded on all sides by high hills. There is a fort on one of the hills. About half a mile further on is the ancient cemetery of Tagsheenode. In this cemetery there are the remains of an old monastery. Tradition tells us that this monastery had a famous bell. This bell was taken away from the monastery when the monks left it and it came back ringing in the air and buired itself in the old ruin.
