  1. Sally over the water (mostly played by girls)
    The girls stand in a ring. One is selected to stand the middle. They skip, or jump around her saying:-
    "Sally over the water,
    Sally over the sea,
    Sally caught a blackbird,
    But cant catch me"
    The circle breaks up and Sally runs after them trying catch someone. Whoever is caught becomes Sally.
    Jenny Joe
    It is mostly played by girls. One girl is Jenny Joe. Another is the maid. Some of the girls come up to the maid and say|:-
    "We've come to see Jenny Joe, Jenny Joe,
    Weve come to see Jenny Joe,
    Where is she now?"
    The maid answers:-
    "Jenny Joe is washing up, washing up,
    Jenny Joe is washing up,
    And you can't see her now."
    And the girls go away but come back again with the same question. The maid answers:-
