At the foot of Rathconnell hill in Shaw's field two Croppies graves are still to be seen where they were buried by the soldiers who killed them.
A band of robbers once stayed in the ruins of Rathconnell castle and sat on the wall over the road and robbed every-one that passed and murdered them and threw them in Clonshiever lake.(continues on next page)- Informant
