    of these forts.
Nobody interfered with them when ploughing or planting their crops. There are no stories told in this connection.
There was no light ever seen, but there was music heard in the vicinity of these forts. Many stories are told of fairies such as the following.
There was a man called Tom Donagher living in Terrycrew one time. A fairy woman in the vicinity used to milk three cows every morning on the hill and leave the people who owned the cows with no milk. They found out what she was doing, and a man named Simon Tracey brought out his dog to chase her and the little fairy woman turned into a hare, and ran away with the dog in pursuit. She was just about to go into a cave in the hill when the dog caught her, and when Simon Tracey and many other men opened the cave to get her they found that there was a bit out of her hip where the dog had bitten her.
