  1. A man named Patrick Fagan nick-named Páid Briany lived in Carlanstown, Castletown Parish of Castlepollard and County Westmeath. This man used to follow the hunt on foot.
    One day as the huntsmen were after racing up a hill one of the huntsmen dismounted to have a drink and he asked Paddy to hold his horse while he was taking the drink.
    Paddy said "I'm in as big a hurry as you are to be in at the "kill". So he kept running on and he was in with the first of the horsemen at the death.
