    There was one Brown,
    From Galway town
    Pat Martin and poor Jones,
    They were thre loyal comrades
    And well the country knows.
    One night they were trap branded
    By the keeper of the strand
    And for seven long years transported
    Into Van Dieman's Land.
    III
    There was one sweetheart in this town
    Jane Somers was her name.
    She steered her cost to Dublin
    For the laying of the game.
