  1. There was a wood in Ballinfink which was supposed to be haunted. One night Joe Hussey had no fire and he went to this wood for sticks when he had the tree cut he went to put it upon the cart but it became so heavy he was unable to lift it. He tried very hard for a long time but yet he could not lift it. Suddenly a little man appeared on the end of the tree and he got such a fright he went home and he never went there again.
