  1. Prayers
Given by Mr Tomas Cumaskey aged 56 Dungimmon, Mount Nugent, Co. Cavan.
    When going to bed
Here as I lie down to sleep
To God I give my soul to keep
If there is any evil spirits about me that the Blessed Virgin Mary may guard and keep me.
There are four corners on my bed
There are four corners on them spread Matthew, Mark, Luke and John
God bless the bed that I lie on
Before the closing of the day
    Creator then we humbly pray
That for the wants of mercy sake
May nothing in our minds excite
Fain dreams or phantoms of this night
Keep off our enemy and that is so
Our bodies white and clean as snow
To Jesus from a Virgin sprung
Be Glory given and praise be sung
The light of God the Father be and Holy
